LIVING LIKE A CHILD (2011)

In 2011, his first authored and highly regarded book, Living Like a Child, was published by one of the leading educational publishing houses, Redleaf Press.  This book is used as a:

  • text book at the university level for education majors
  • handbook for parents of young children
  • guide for teachers of young children

It is filled with many concrete strategies that can be used immediately related to improved:

  • self-regulation
  • focus and performance
  • brain-based learning including his own original brain games
  • use of creativity with critical thinking skills

 

JUST THE RIGHT SPOT (2012)

In 2012, he was asked to compose an original soundtrack for this lovely children’s book, based on the real life service dog, “Mr. T.”  Authors Mike and Paula Bloker and Enrique decided to include three tracks for this book.  One with Enrique’s voice reading the story with the soundtrack, another with just the soundtrack and a third with a R&B groove with an original rhyme/chant.

 

ARTS INTEGRATION HANDBOOK (2013)

In 2013, he was a contributing author for the ground breaking book, Arts Integration Handbook, released by the national foundation Arts Integration Solutions.  The 2013 Arts Integration Handbook will guide any teacher for:

  • foundational arts integration theory
  • lesson planning and strategy development
  • implementation of arts integration in any classroom for any subject

The AiTeachers.com online portal is a companion to The 2013 Arts Integration Handbook. The portal content will continue to develop throughout the year.

 

I’M SO HAPPY (2014)

Inspired by the “You’re Wonderful” CD and Book by Debbie Clement (song, sign language and affirmation), Enrique will be producing this book in 2014, which will be sung, that will focus on:

  • Affirmation of Self
  • Affirmation of Others
  • Common Core ELA Shift #4 (Text Based Evidence)
  • Common Core ELA Shift #6 (Academic Vocabulary)
  • Identification of Key Words
  • Creating a Desire to Read

 

SO YOU WANT TO BE A COWBOY and SO YOU WANT TO BE A COWGIRL (2014 –  )

Beginning in 2014, he will join forces with western novelist J.P.S. Brown and adapt and edit Mr. Brown’s original stories based on the novel The Spirit of Dogie Long.  For more information on these books, scroll back up to the Make a Hand section.
